Hold your own fundraising event and donate the proceeds to Flops for Flips. It’s easy to get your community involved and we’ll make sure the proceeds from your event make it to the hands of those most in need. Hold a bake sale at your school, work, church or club. Have a garage sale. Throw a party with a cover charge of $1 – $5 as a donation. Start a car wash. Hold a fundraiser at a restaurant like Chevy’s or Cold Stone’s that will donate a portion of the profits to your charity of choice. Have a spaghetti dinner or pancake breakfast and charge $5 per meal.

We ship boxes of flip flops (and shoes), used clothing, children’s books, toys, and household items to needy areas of the Philippines. Your contribution will be sent to either Manila, Philippines or Cebu, Philippines via freight forwarders. We currently ship donated items to the Philippines in 20″ x 20″ x 20″ Balikbayan* boxes. Shipping time via freight forwarders from Portland, Oregon to the Philippines is approximately one month. This is the most economical shipping method for our purposes. When shipments arrive in the Philippines, they are received by our distribution coordinators who distribute the donated items to poverty-stricken families in various towns throughout the Luzon and Visayan regions of the Philippines.

Our team works with wide reaching non-profit agencies in the Philippines, such as churches, schools, hospitals, orphanages and local charities to distribute donations to poor families. Our partners are compassionate and want to see the help get to those that need it the most. We avoid corruption or mishandling of the items by going directly to the source. In fact, we have built all the necessary relationships and a strong network of trustworthy connections there in the Philippines to transport the goods in a safe and timely manner.

We also work with businesses (across many industries), girl and boy scout troops, as well as student clubs, in order to fundraise for our cause. Many have already jumped on board as a long-term supporter. If you'd like to join us, we'd be glad to get your team up and running, so that together, we can help the less fortunate. You have the option to give a cash donation for us to purchase bulk footwear. You can donate any goods that you have lying around. You can also give a child the gift of education through a full year school scholarship.
